Part 3 architect/designer (part-time)

West Port is seeking a Part 3 architect/designer (part-time) to join its team in London.
We are a small, design-led architectural practice and are seeking a qualified architect/designer to join us on a part-time basis to lead a new crop of cultural and residential projects. As a Part 3 architect within our practice, you will take a lead role in the end-to-end delivery of projects, moving seamlessly between creative design and technical execution. You will be responsible for managing projects independently across the RIBA Stages, from initial concept and prototyping through to the production of comprehensive technical drawing packages and specifications. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing position where you will act as the primary point of contact for prestigious institutions and private clients, coordinating closely with consultants and contractors. Beyond the studio, you will apply your expertise to contract administration and site-level oversight, ensuring that the design integrity and construction quality of our cultural and residential portfolios are maintained to the highest standard.
The key requirements we are looking for include:
- great presentation and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop)
- clear understanding of the RIBA Stages, UK Building Regulations, and modern construction methods
- a genuine interest in public sector work and cultural projects
- an ARB Part 3 qualification is not a must as we are keen to work with people from a variety of backgrounds
This is a flexible, part-time position designed to provide a high degree of professional autonomy within a fully work-from-home structure. While the role offers the convenience of remote working, we are looking for a London-based architect to ensure seamless participation in site visits and face-to-face client meetings when required.
