Product designer
at Jonas Ravlo Stokke

Jonas Ravlo Stokke is hiring a product designer to join its team in Oslo, Norway.

The Jonas Ravlo Stokke studio is entering a new phase, with multiple international launches in 2026. We are hiring a product designer to anchor execution as the studio scales.

Why you should join

Today, the studio’s strength lies in concept, narrative, and client engagement. What’s missing is a dedicated person who ensures precision, finish, and continuity from idea to production.

We have long worked through a network of external specialists, from engineering to communication. We are now strengthening the internal team with a person who will play a central role in the studio’s next phase.

As a product designer, you will work primarily on furniture projects, but also industrial design and collaborations with architects. Many clients are at pivotal moments, entering new segments or redefining categories. This requires an ability to understand constraints and the confidence to translate complexity into resolved design.

The role

This role is the backbone of our studio. We are looking for someone who finds satisfaction in supporting the team through precision and clarity, and who loves following through on projects, from testing early models, mockups, and mechanical principles to the final delivery of CAD files with order and clarity. You will build physical and digital models, iterate closely with Jonas, and ensure projects are prepared to move cleanly into production.

We expect to speak with a small number of candidates and are prioritizing judgment, diligence, and craft over years of experience.

About you:

  • you are a finisher. You enjoy executing ideas to perfection. This role is about craft and precision rather than creative direction, though you’ll be client-facing and your expertise will shape how ideas become real
  • you have strong aesthetic judgment. You care deeply about proportion, geometry, and materiality. You know when something is resolved and when it still needs work
  • you are client-ready. You are comfortable communicating directly with clients and presenting work professionally
  • you are organized. You take pride in a clean file structure and clear documentation
  • we don’t expect you to know everything on day one. We expect you to be curious, structured, and eager to master the technical side of production

What success looks like (year one):

  • projects move from concept to manufacture with clarity and consistency
  • models, drawings, and presentations reflect a unified studio standard
  • there is reduced friction between design intent and production reality

Requirements

  • fluent in Fusion 360 and Adobe Creative Suite
  • fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Scandinavian languages and Italian are a plus
  • position is in Oslo, Norway

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: NOK 480,000 – 540,000 (depending on experience)
  • five weeks’ holiday
  • OTP retirement savings
  • free phone and subsidized lunch
