WeWantMore is hiring a client director interior to join its team in Antwerp, Belgium.
The role
At this pivotal stage of our studio’s growth, we are looking for a client director to lead our team of client managers and elevate the commercial and operational performance of our interior design practice.
As client director, you will have four main responsibilities to drive operational excellence:
- lead the client management team: provide clear structure, processes, and priorities to develop the client management team’s capabilities. Set standards for planning, communication, and delivery, enabling the team to consistently manage complex, international clients and projects with confidence and control
- enhance and build client relationships: drive client retention, satisfaction, and growth by acting as the strategic link between clients and the studio. Develop a deep understanding of client businesses and build profitable, long-term partnerships
- process optimisation: define, implement, and maintain clear ways of working that ensure structure, accountability, and consistency across the design process. Establish roles, workflows, and decision-making frameworks that align designers, client managers, and clients, enabling efficient collaboration and smooth project delivery
- manage the financial targets of the interior team: negotiate contracts, budgets, and project roadmaps with confidence, crafting scopes of work that balance client goals and commercial success. Collaborate with business development to shape strong proposals and define achievable revenue targets for the interior design team
- you will play a central role in shaping how we manage the end-to-end design process, ensuring seamless collaboration between clients, client managers, and the creative team
The position is based in our Antwerp studio, where close interaction and teamwork fuel creativity and innovation.
About you
You are an experienced, ambitious leader with a passion for client relationships. You thrive in dynamic environments and have the skills to build strong, professional partnerships with international clients.
You bring:
- exceptional negotiation skills and confidence in managing budgets, contracts, and complex client interactions
- strong leadership skills and a natural ability to coach and develop teams
- a proven track record leading client teams, ideally with experience in international and hospitality-focused interior design projects
- a positive, entrepreneurial spirit with authenticity and passion for your role
- expertise in managing large-scale design projects – you know how to define scopes of work, set project roadmaps, and drive results
- proactiveness in spotting problems or opportunities and acting on it
- innovation-focused and proactively seeks better, faster, and more valuable ways of working
- calculated risk-taking, willing to experiment, test ideas, and learn from failure
- a collaborative mindset that balances the needs of clients, designers, and the studio
- outstanding communication skills, both internally and externally, both with VP’s and suppliers
- you thrive in an international environment and are willing to travel regularly across Europe and the Middle East
- fluency in English is a must, Dutch and French are a plus
