Who we are

Watershedd is a design-led architecture and interior design practice working on high-end new build houses and carefully crafted refurbishments across London, Cornwall and the wider UK. Our work is rooted in context, materiality and spatial quality, with a strong emphasis on collaboration between architecture and interiors.

The opportunity

We are looking for a confident and motivated project architect to take a leading role in delivering residential projects from concept through to completion.

This is a hands on role within a close knit team, offering real responsibility, creative input and direct client engagement. You will be trusted to run projects, contribute to design direction and help shape the way work is delivered within the studio.

If you enjoy beautifully detailed architecture, working collaboratively and taking ownership of projects, this role offers the chance to grow within a supportive and ambitious practice.

About you

You are design conscious, technically strong and comfortable leading projects while remaining closely involved in the detail. Ideally with experience of London High-end residential projects.

  • excellent communication skills and a calm, professional approach with clients
  • good technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing and on-site delivery
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • a proactive and collaborative mindset
  • You will be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and a CAD package, preferably Vectorworks, or be willing to learn. Experience with 3D modelling and visualisation software is beneficial.

What you will be doing:

  • leading residential projects from concept design through to construction
  • developing design proposals, technical drawings and tender packages
  • running client meetings and design presentations
  • coordinating consultants and managing information flow
  • working closely with contractors during construction
  • attending site meetings and overseeing design quality on site
  • mentoring junior team members and contributing to studio culture

What we offer:

  • a competitive salary dependent on experience
