Mid-weight interior designer

Jackdaw Studio is hiring a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented mid-weight interior designer to join our design team. This role is ideal for a designer with solid industry experience who can independently manage key aspects of projects while collaborating closely with senior designers and stakeholders. You will contribute creatively and technically across multiple stages of the design process, from concept development through to delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- develop interior design concepts, layouts, and mood boards in line with project briefs
- produce detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules
- create and refine 2D and 3D visualisations using industry-standard software
- coordinate with senior designers, architects, consultants, and suppliers
- assist with client presentations and incorporate feedback into design iterations
- support project delivery by managing timelines, deliverables, and design revisions
- research materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and lighting
- ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
Required skills and experience:
- three to five years’ of professional experience in interior design
- degree or equivalent qualification in interior design or a related field
- strong design sensibility with an excellent eye for detail
- experience working on RIBA stages 0-7
- proficiency in design software (Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite)
- good understanding of space planning, materials, and construction detailing
- ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- strong communication and collaboration skills

- experience working across workplace, hospitality, retail sectors
- confidence presenting design ideas to clients and internal teams
- knowledge of sustainable design practices
- proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow professionally
