Alison Brooks Architects (ABA) is seeking a studio and communications co-ordinator to join its London studio.

ABA is an internationally recognised, design-led architectural practice, known for culturally responsive, research-driven work across housing, education, cultural and civic projects in the UK and internationally.

The role

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the practice, combining front-of-house responsibilities, studio administration and PA support, alongside assistance with communications and social media activity.

Working closely with the directors and wider studio, the studio and communications co-ordinator will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office while supporting the professional presentation and public-facing presence of the practice.

The role suits a highly organised, personable and proactive individual with a genuine interest in architecture and creative studio environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • acting as the first point of contact for clients, collaborators and visitors, providing a warm and professional front-of-house presence
  • managing incoming calls, emails and general enquiries
  • supporting directors with diary coordination, travel arrangements and meeting preparation
  • coordinating studio administration, including document management, expenses and general office support
  • organising CPD sessions, training and internal events
  • day-to-day facilities management tasks
  • ordering office supplies and liaising with external suppliers and building management
  • liaison with an external PR and communcations agency
  • assisting with website updates and supporting social media activity, primarily LinkedIn
  • supporting the preparation of presentations, brochures and studio documentation
  • assisting with the organisation of client-facing events and studio socials

Requirements

Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in a similar studio, office management, PA or practice administration role, ideally within architecture, design or a creative environment.

Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication are essential. Candidates should be confident working with senior staff, handling confidential information, and managing multiple responsibilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Adobe InDesign, website CMS platforms or social media support is desirable but not essential. Authorisation to work in the UK is required.
