LIND + ALMOND is a concept-driven interior design studio led by Pernille Lind and Richy Almond. Our brief is to deliver the most exceptional boutique hospitality and residential projects.
We are seeking a highly organised, confident, and proactive Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This is a pivotal role where you will manage both small and large projects, lead project teams, and act as a key figure in ensuring the delivery of exceptional, high-quality design across the studio.
The role and key responsibilities
As a senior interior designer, you will be a key figure in driving the studio’s creative output. You will take ownership of multiple exciting hospitality projects, managing all phases from concept to completion while mentoring junior staff.
Your role will include:
- project management: acting as the project anchor and primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. Leading planning and resourcing to ensure deadlines are met and revisions are minimised.
- design and delivery: confidently producing full drawing packages, bespoke joinery detailing, and high-quality presentations. Ensuring all output aligns with the studio’s style and standards while factoring in buildability and RIBA stages
- FF&E and procurement: taking ultimate responsibility for FF&E specification, bespoke item design, and budget management. Reviewing manufacturer shop drawings and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The right candidate should be able to quickly tap into the studio’s design style with flair and have good existing relationships with FF&E suppliers and manufactures.
- leadership: managing, mentoring, and reviewing the work of mid-weight and junior team members, adapting your management style to motivate colleagues and achieve project goals
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a highly proactive leader who takes ownership of their decisions and is passionate about delivering industry-leading design.
Essential requirement
The right candidate must:
- be available to start within one month
- have an existing right to work in the UK
- have a minimum seven plus years of relevant industry experience, including leading at least three projects from concept to completion (with a minimum of one UK and one mainland Europe project)
- have proven hotel design and on-site experience
- have advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp
- be confident using Project Document Control Software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- possess exceptional understanding of interior detailing, bespoke manufacturing costs, and key UK Building Regulations
- have a BA in interior design, architecture, or equivalent
- be happy to travel outside of the UK for short periods of time.
