Senior interior designer
at Kiln
Kiln is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in Salt Lake City.
We design and build thoughtfully crafted coworking environments that bring together hospitality, workplace and community. This role offers the opportunity to lead the design of new Kiln locations, working across concept development, material exploration and project delivery.
You will play a key role in shaping spatial concepts, developing material palettes and furniture selections, and translating ideas into clear and well-resolved design packages.
Working closely with our internal team and external collaborators, you will guide projects from early design stages through construction, ensuring the quality and integrity of the design is maintained throughout.
Responsibilities:
- lead interior design projects from concept through completion
- develop spatial layouts, design narratives and material palettes
- source furniture, lighting and finishes
- produce and oversee design presentations and drawing packages
- coordinate with architects, consultants and contractors
- support the continued evolution of Kiln’s design language across locations
Requirements:
- minimum five years’ experience in commercial interior design
- strong conceptual and spatial design ability
- confident use of CAD and Adobe Creative Suite (3D skills beneficial)
- experience delivering projects through construction
- strong knowledge of materials, furniture and lighting
- organised, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership of projects
- experience working within hospitality, workplace or member-focused environments is beneficial
