Stephanie Barba Mendoza is looking for a creative, passionate and driven junior designer to join its team in London. In this position you will act as SBM’s supporting staff member.

Role description:

• supporting the design team in creating designs and delivering presentations based on the project(s) deliverables
• design tasks may include, but not be limited to developing designs, 3D modelling, elevation renderings, mood board creation, CAD drawings, image research, materials, and furniture sourcing. Under the supervision of a senior designer, assist in the creation of quality timely sets of drawings and specifications
• assist in providing SBM’s construction document packages including drawings and specifications and administrative tasks in relation to the projects
• attending key internal and external design meetings. Typing and issuing meeting notes
• setting up and maintaining project files and folders in accordance with SBM standards

Required skills and experience:

• one to two years’ of post-graduate design with ideally high-end experience and conceptually driven interior design
• professional qualification of interior design
• demonstrated conceptual approach to design
• excellent teamwork skills
• excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
• strong communication skills
• proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office software
• proficient 2D drawing skills (AutoCAD)
• 3D skills (SketchUp/hand sketches) a bonus and ability to study spatial design
• knowledge of FF&E, fabrics, materials, and suppliers a plus
• experience in custom furniture design desirable
• British citizen or appropriate working permit essential
