Part 2 architectural assistant
at ASPA KST
ASPA KST is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
At ASPA KST, we believe great architecture is about more than creating beautiful buildings – it is about shaping places that people connect with, experiences they remember and environments that can stand the test of time.
We are looking for a passionate and creative Part II Architectural Assistant to join our London studio and become part of a collaborative, international team working across a diverse range of projects and scales.
About ASPA KST
We are a dynamic architecture and design practice working across urban planning, architecture and interior design, with particular expertise in large-scale retail and workplace projects, alongside residential, healthcare and public spaces.
Our studio brings together registered architects, engineers, designers and support staff, with experience gained in leading international practices around the world. We combine this global perspective with a hands-on, collaborative approach to create contemporary, high-quality and environmentally responsible architecture.
At the heart of our work is the belief that people and their experience of a space should always come first.
The role
As a junior architect/Part 2 architectural assistant, you will work closely with our senior architects and wider design team, contributing to projects from early concept and design development through to delivery and construction.
This is an opportunity to take your ideas beyond the drawing board, gain experience across different stages of a project and develop your skills within a supportive studio environment.
We are looking for someone who is curious, motivated and excited by the opportunity to learn – someone who wants to contribute their own ideas while developing their architectural voice.
What you will be doing:
- supporting the design and development of projects across residential, commercial, healthcare and public sectors
- working collaboratively to produce drawings, 3D models, visualisations and presentations
- researching materials, technologies, regulations and sustainable design approaches
- taking part in site visits and client meetings, and helping translate observations and feedback into design development
- contributing ideas during design reviews, workshops and brainstorming sessions
- working alongside experienced architects, engineers and designers to understand how ideas evolve into built projects
- keeping curious and up to date with emerging architectural trends, digital tools, materials and best practices
- taking increasing ownership of your work as your experience and confidence develop
What we are looking for:
- a degree in architecture and Part 2 qualification (or equivalent stage of architectural education)
- a master’s degree in architecture or interior design is desirable
- proficiency in relevant design and visualisation software such as Rhino, V-Ray and Adobe Creative Suite
- strong design and visualisation skills, with a good eye for detail, composition and aesthetics
- a genuine interest in contemporary architecture, sustainable design and the built environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- a proactive, curious and positive approach to problem-solving
- the ability to take initiative while also being comfortable asking questions and learning from others
- previous professional or internship experience is very welcome, but we are more interested in your potential, creativity and attitude
Right to work in the UK
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application, and this should be clearly stated in your application.
Future visa or sponsorship requirements may be considered for candidates who become valued members of the ASPA KST team.
What you can expect from us
At ASPA KST, we want our team to grow alongside the work we create.
You will have the opportunity to:
- work in a creative, international and collaborative studio
- gain exposure to a wide variety of projects, scales and design challenges
- learn directly from experienced architects, engineers and designers
- develop your technical, design and professional skills across different project stages
- take part in site visits and experience projects as they move from drawings to reality
- join us on special trips to celebrate the opening of buildings you have helped bring to life
- enjoy flexible working arrangements
- be part of a team where your ideas, perspective and contribution matter
