Computational designer
at AECOM
AECOM has an opportunity for a computational designer to join its practice in London.
As a computational designer you will be working on the conceptual design of new projects across various sectors. You will be involved in the design of brochures, exhibitions and graphic material for the wider design studio.
Job duties:
- report to the creative director and design competition studio lead
- working across RIBA Stages 1-3 focusing on pitch, competition and concept design
- provide design services from 3D parametric modelling to visualisations and graphic design
- prepare high quality inspiring architectural designs
- carry assignments to completion with considerable independence in accordance with project objectives, professional standards, policies and procedures
Specific skills required:
- expert knowledge of parametric modelling software (Rhino Grasshopper), 3ds Max (V-Ray), Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- confident architectural competition designer with proven design experience
- demonstrate experience of working on a range of high end, iconic and complex architectural projects
- excellent design and graphical representation skills
Minimum requirements:
- proven related architecture experience
- experience of working on architectural competitions, brochures, exhibition designs
Qualifications:
- computational designer with advanced parametric modelling skills (mandatory)
- architecture degree qualified (or candidate who is working towards qualification)
- strong graphic design skills and visualisation skills (mandatory)
