Part 2 architectural assistant/architectural technician

Simpson Studio Architects is looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or architectural technician to join its office in London.
Simpson Studio Architects is an exciting young practice located in central London. Established in 2013 the practice has a broad portfolio of projects, working on high-end residential and commercial architecture, as well as vehicle, product and furniture design, in collaboration with Simpson & Sand. Simpson Studio Architects is also part of the Practice Network for the London School of Architecture working to explore the full extent of the built environment in today’s changing world.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and driven experienced Part 2 or technician, to help with the growing workload in our busy London studio. Located within Somerset House on the Strand, we sit within a creative co-working space with full workshop facilities where making, exploring materials, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping are inherent in our development and approach.
We are looking for someone who:
- has at least two years’ experience through all RIBA work stages
- a good knowledge of the UK planning process
- understands UK building regulations
- has an eye and a love for detail and materials
- has worked on high-end one-off residential architecture
- is organised, proactive and self-motivated
- has excellent spoken and written English
- has the confidence to share and explore ideas
- will thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Software skills required:
- Vectorworks
- Adobe Indesign
- SketchUp
- Microsoft Office
