Mid-weight interior designer
at Sigmar

Sigmar is seeking a midweight interior designer to join its team in London.

Sigmar is a small but internationally acclaimed and award-winning interior design/architecture studio based in London. 

We specialise in high-end private residential projects and cover both interior and architectural and joinery design, sourcing, FF&E and styling. 

We are looking for an exceptional all-around designer who can develop and manage design projects from concept to completion with strong technical skills and FF&E background are essential. Someone who have a confident experience with schedules and timelines, great communication skills, who can work across several high-end residential projects simultaneously.

You will be working on a range of exciting projects and will be an integral part of our creative and dynamic design team, covering all aspects of the design and FF&E in the residential sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • managing projects from concept to completion, working on several projects simultaneously
  • capable of working to a tight programme, under pressure and if necessary to a pre-defined budget
  • ability to build strong work relationships with contractors, consultants and suppliers
  • create technical drawings and tender packages, including space-plans, elevations and bespoke joinery drawings
  • understand client’s brief and create concept presentations
  • coordinate all elements of FF&E research, specification, procurement
  • create project schedules and costings
  • manage a small team of junior designers

Knowledge and experience:

  • a minimum of four years post qualification experience in high-end residential interior design
  • diverse, creative portfolio showing all stages of interior design
  • strong technical skills – Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • excellent knowledge of UK suppliers and manufacturers
  • excellent spoken and written English – presentation & communication skills
  • experience with Estimac preferable
  • eligible to work in the UK
  • available to start immediately

Salary depending on experience.
