Hesselbrand has an opportunity for a Part 3 architect to join its firm in London.

Hesselbrand are looking for an experienced and design driven qualified architect with a minimum of five years’ post-Part 3 experience, to join its growing London office on a full time position.

Hesselbrand is an international architecture practice with offices in London and Oslo, working on a wide range of projects in the UK and abroad. Current works include; hotel and spa projects in Switzerland and Italy, high end residential projects in the UK and Scandinavia, and fashion/exhibition projects all over the world.

We are looking for a talented individual to play a key, managing role within our team. Candidates should have a strong commitment to design, excellent technical and project management skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. The role includes running projects on a daily basis and leading the design team with clarity and attention to detail. The candidate would be reporting directly to the company directors, and a proactive, confident, can-do attitude is essential.

Candidates can expect to work on a wide range of projects such as hotels and restaurants, retail spaces, temporary exhibitions and events, as well as private residential and mixed use developments.

Responsibilities:

  • design and delivery of projects in all stages, from concept to completion
  • daily running of projects with direct client correspondence
  • time management of projects
  • coordination of the design team and consultants
  • liaising with contractors and overseeing works on-site

Skills required:

  • minimum five years’ post-Part 3 experience
  • excellent design and spatial planning skills
  • time management skills and highly organised working methods
  • preferable if candidate has experience of international projects
  • confident communicator
  • excellent written and spoken English
  • second language favourable (French, Italian, Norwegian)

Software skills:

  • advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Rhino
  • good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
  • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel)
  • basic knowledge of time management softwares such as Monday and Xero
