Studio manager

Brimelow McSweeney Architects is looking for a studio manager to join its team in London.
Brimelow McSweeney Architects are a design-led, growing London architectural practice based in the heart of Covent Garden.
We are looking for a well-rounded studio manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our office. Ideally you are organised, enthusiastic and experienced working in a design-led practice, and you want to be involved in all aspects of our daily activities. You should be able to take responsibility and be able to work efficiently under your own initiative.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- receptionist duties
- office management, i.e. ordering stationery, office and kitchen supplies, refreshments and catering as appropriate
- providing general administrative support, i.e. filing, archiving, general typing
- diary and travel management for director and senior staff
- organising staff meetings, staff socials, annual team events and company parties
- assist with office policies and procedures, i.e. memberships, insurances, accreditations
- coordinate H&S requirements, PAT testing, fire risk assessment, first aid, gas safety
- manage contractors, i.e. cleaners, office maintenance
- lead in marketing and communication of the studio, e.g. website, awards, social media, architecture festivals/conferences/events
- HR duties dealing with inductions, pension, contracts, holidays, sick leave
- arranging salaries, invoices and staff expenses/receipts
- assisting with monthly timesheets, invoicing procedures and client communication
- experience in using Microsoft Office Package, Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and be quick to learn new software as appropriate
- be able to put together presentations for interior designs
- some basic knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp would be an advantage.
