Crosby Granger Architects has an opening for a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its practice in Cumbria, UK.
Crosby Granger Architects are a friendly practice seeking a creative and motivated Part 1 architectural assistant to join our Kendal office in summer/autumn 2019.
As a part of the CGA team you will have the opportunity to work on community and residential projects within the context of the Lake District National Park as well as independent school projects country-wide. Working alongside architects and SPAB scholars you will learn about the use of traditional materials in both the context of contemporary new build and conservation of historic buildings.
You will be given a significant amount of responsibility from the outset including design work and will be involved with all stages of the design process from concept through to site visits and client meetings.
Desired skillset:
- flair for design
- an interest in conservation and working in a historic context
- excellent verbal and visual communication skills (both hand-drawn and CAD)
- ability to take initiative and embrace challenges
- experience in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microstation is preferred
The Lake District is a beautiful place to live and work and would be ideal for someone interested in making the most of living in the National Park and World Heritage Site.
