Senior interior designer/interior architect
at Object Space Place
Object Space Place is hiring a senior interior designer or interior architect to join its studio in London Bridge.
We are a small RIBA chartered practice with a focus on designing interior architecture for hospitality – our mission is to set the stage for the best hospitality experiences in the world and we need to find the right person to become a core part of the team as we expand.
Your exact qualifications aren’t so important to us, but we are looking for a designer with a proactive approach who can identify and understand how design decisions will affect the finished product. Experience of delivering completed projects will be essential.
We are looking for a designer with a level of competence across all work stages, which typically means you will have at least 6 years experience, though all candidates demonstrating suitable skills will be considered.
We offer employees a nine-day fortnight (every other Friday is a fully paid holiday), with flexible hours and encourage staff to really immerse themselves in the world of hospitality design with an individual monthly research budget.
Your role will include:
- working across all stages, from strategy and concept, to detailed design and construction
- production of 3D models and sketches, drawings and schedules
- being the main point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors
- taking responsibility for planning applications, building control and CDM with oversight from a director
- developing the sustainability of projects and taking ownership of rating systems such as SKA
- being excellent and enjoyable to work with
