Senior technical architect/draftsperson
at Space A
Studio Space A is looking for a freelance senior technical architect/draftsperson to join its team in Clerkenwell, London.
Studio Space A is a startup architecture and interior design business, with some exciting projects in residential and retail spheres. Based in Clerkenwell, we work closely with clients to create unique and exquisite spaces with a splash of colour and sprinkle of joy.
We are looking for an experienced technician to lead and advise on construction detailing to an exceptional standard. We can offer flexible hours, competitive pay and an ambitious role to the right person. This position is available immediately.
Crucial:
- at least five years of live project experience in technical detailing architectural projects – preferably in residential and retail environments
- an acute attention-to-detail and thoroughness in design detailing
- expert and efficient in designing and delivering technical drawing packages
- a fascination with materials – how they fit together and an aptitude for creativity in detail design
- passion for sustainable solutions and innovate materials and technologies
- strong skills in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Adobe Suite and Excel
- practical site experience and intuition to adapt to find buildable design solutions
- imbecile knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements & technical standards
- positive ‘can-do’ and collaborative attitude
- fluent in English-spoken and written
Additionally:
- skills in Rhino and SketchUp a bonus
- BIM Revit skills would be advantageous but not essential
