Technical designer

PENSON is seeking a full-time talented technical designer to join its London practice.
The technical designer will create highly innovative workplace, Hotel & Residential drawings for our clients – some of the world’s most high-profile brands and personalities.
You’ll have the opportunity to see your projects come to life and be part of an amazing new large-scale project here at PENSON. This new project, like the rest of our portfolio, is an incredibly interesting and challenging one to draw and create. The variety of intriguing spaces and plans on offer for technical designing make this an exciting opportunity.
PENSON are renowned for pushing more than boundaries in interior design and architecture so we require a team player who will bring the best creative ideas along this innovative journey with us, especially through your carefully considered drawings. We need someone who will help drive the transformation of the spaces we plan to re-define whilst also pioneering PENSON’s famous game-changing design.
The successful candidate will be based between our highly rewarding environment at our London Studio as well as remote working. You will be working alongside a very friendly and talented team.
About the candidate:
- a minimum of five years’ professional experience in the architecture and interior design field
- advanced technical drawing skills with attention to interior details
- advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, 2D and 3D CAD software
- experienced in producing high-quality technical drawings and CAD files
- can solve technical problems and advise designers on technical issues, throughout the office and on all projects
- can bridge the gap between creative design and production
- an active interest in all areas of design, with experience and knowledge in a variety of different design practices
- an ability to produce quick, high-quality work
- an excellent understanding of fabrication, materials and assembly processes
- personable with good communication skills and a high level of spoken and written English
- must be an obvious team player
- able to work on initiative with a consultative approach
