Senior designer - interiors
at UXUS
FutureBrand UXUS is looking for a senior designer of interiors to join its team in London.
The role of our senior designer – interiors is to envision future-thinking retail experiences and translate them in to physical environments.
As our senior designer of interiors, you will conceptualise and create innovative retail concepts and experiences for the world’s leading brands across various industries. Designing comprehensive customer journeys that encompass all touch points, service rituals and branded experiences. For each project you will collaborate with a team of highly talented people, including graphic designers, 3D visualisers and strategists. Together you will concept, ideate and produce design work in line with client briefs, always ensuring design concepts are at the forefront of creativity and innovation. You’ll also produce all relevant materials for presentations, such as presentation structures, mood boards, sketches and visualisations. You will have the opportunity to present your ideas and designs to internal and external stakeholders. Your mission is to come up with creative design concepts, you may work on architectural details during this process however it is not the main focus for this role.
Responsibilities:
- produce creative design concepts with unique shape languages, colour pallets and materials in line with client brief and to FBUXUS design standards
- create 3D visuals to communicate conceptualised ideas back to clients and internal stakeholders
- oversee and develop your designs through the commercial project phases on concept design, schematic design, and design development
- produce floor plans, customer journeys, project specifications and material boards
- work with suppliers to order samples, request product information
- ability to brief concepts to external partners eg. lighting and digital consultants
- have an understanding of best retail practices and trends in various markets eg. beauty, fashion, hospitality
Requirements:
- high-level design and strategic-thinking skills
- minimum four+ years’ design experience in retail design sector
- experience in designing fixturing, specifying FF&E, materials and colours
- fluent 3D modeling skills in Rhino, AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
- basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- understanding of retail best practices, including VM, customer touch points and campaigns advantageous
- experience of working on international projects
- fluent in English, verbal and written
