Receptionist/studio manager

MSMR is looking for a studio manager to join its London team. 

MSMR is an award winning architecture and design practice based in London. Our Waterloo studio is a bright and spacious converted Victorian school building which forms an inspiring backdrop for our creative work. We have a growing team of 43 architects, designers and support staff and we offer great opportunities to develop your professional knowledge, within a supportive and sociable working environment.

MSMR is currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic studio manager to join our team, helping us with front of house duties and the day to day running of the practice.

Responsibilities:

  • front of house receptionist duties
  • managing the day to day running of the studio including dealing with post, phone calls and meeting arrangements etc.
  • managing ancillary spaces including kitchen, cloakroom, store room, tenanted sub-offices and external entrance areas
  • managing all incoming and outgoing goods and supplies
  • maintaining all supplies for the studio and ancillary spaces
  • assisting with the management of all studio and practice events
  • inducting new members of staff
  • managing and updating project directories and office databases
  • managing and maintaining service contracts for all studio equipment
  • providing back-up support to senior management, accounts and HR and to the marketing manager

Skills:

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
  • good writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages — Word, Excel, Outlook
  • experience using Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not essential — InDesign, Photoshop
  • previous experience in HR, accounts and facilities management is desirable but not essential
  • ability to build relationships with key clients and consultants
  • ability to manage and prioritise your own time and workload
  • ability to professionally represent the company at all times

  • outgoing, enthusiastic, proactive and well organised articulate with a friendly and positive disposition
  • excellent interpersonal and time management skills

Salary: £25-30,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability. We also provide a package of competitive benefits to all permanent staff.
