Baroncelli is looking for a production manager to join its team in London.

Baroncelli requires an experienced candidate to work full-time to oversee production and development of their product range and bespoke/commission pieces. The candidate will be responsible for taking products from the design stage through to manufacture and delivery.
The successful candidate will work closely with the design team and creative director to ascertain product requirements prior to placing orders with the relevant suppliers. Orders are to then be followed through the production process liaising with suppliers to ensure product is delivered on schedule and manufactured to the respective quality standards of Baroncelli. A passion for exacting detail and a critical eye are therefore essential.

Amidst the constantly changing landscape of technology and manufacturing processes, the role of production manager requires a passion for incremental knowledge. The candidate will be expected to be aware of the latest technological developments and production techniques within the industry such that they can be applied where appropriate to the design and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

  • creating and overseeing the critical path from design to delivery
  • sourcing components and creating CAD drawings
  • identifying new suppliers and manufacturers
  • negotiating pricing with suppliers, managing cost control and value engineering where required
  • managing production issues, QC processes and feedback loops to ensure effective product evaluation
  • liaising with clients on technical issues where necessary
  • assisting/overseeing on-site installation of larger-scale projects where necessary
  • management of trade show production, build and installation

Requirements:

  • minimum of five years’ industry experience
  • two years’ experience in manufacturing lighting products
  • experience with metal and glass-based production
  • knowledge of LED’s, power supplies and associated dimming protocols
  • knowledge of standards, certifications and requirements (CE/UL/CB/IP etc.)
  • awareness of new technologies and production developments
  • ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • effective at working alone without supervision
  • fluent English plus working knowledge of Italian (written and spoken)
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • working knowledge of Hubspot or similar CRM software
  • proficient in AutoCAD, knowledge of 3ds Max
