Part-time studio manager

MW Architects is seeking a part-time studio manager to join its practice in London.

MW Architects are seeking a flexible, proactive and highly organised studio manager to support the administration, marketing and bookkeeping within the practice. This is a dynamic role and we are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team on a part-time basis. Excellent communication skills and previous office experience of a similar role are preferential, as well as an interest in design and working in a creative studio.

Required skills/qualifications:

  • excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • bookkeeping – experience on Xero preferable but not necessary
  • computer-literacy with a good knowledge of Word processing/spreadsheets/time-management software and Apple Mac systems
  • excellent organisational and time management skills – able to work independently with a proactive attitude
  • previous experience of a similar role preferable but not essential
  • knowledge of Adobe Suite preferable but not essential
  • demonstrable interest in design
  • valid UK/EEA work permit

Job role:

  • first point of contact – greeting clients/suppliers/visitors/enquiries
  • manage all matters relating to studio premises, equipment and supplies and the day to day functioning and presentation of the studio
  • regulatory governance and compliance – including RIBA/organise office CPD programme
  • manage company website, including project launches/completions, studio events and award submissions
  • company bookkeeping
  • manage content on social media accounts, PR activities and press enquires
  • provide administrative support to directors in relation to human resourcing, including staff recruitment, induction for new staff, managing personnel records, annual leave, absence and annual reviews – including managing general inboxes for enquires and recruitment
  • researching networking opportunities and sourcing potential work for the practice

Salary 

Dependent on skillset and experience. This is a part-time role equivalent to 15-20 hours per week depending on both the candidate and the employer’s preferences.
