Sheehan Nagle Hartray Associates is seeking a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of BIM coordinator with the ability to assist with office-wide information technology tasks.

The BIM coordinator acts as the technical hub in the BIM process from project kickoff to the final closeout of a project. They will help in the coordination efforts among the entire project team including a variety of external disciplines and contractors within the BIM environment. The BIM coordinator has close contact with directors, project managers and external consultants. This person should be the go-to for all how-to’s and project troubleshooting in Autodesk Revit and its associated apps, add-ins, and utilities. Coordinating and uploading the full architectural delivery at major deliverable milestones, to project technology platforms such as BIM360 or SharePoint, will also be the task of the BIM coordinator.
In addition, the successful applicant will be able to contribute to the integrity of all computer workstations, mobile devices, and general tech associated with design and office software, coordinating and directing the work of external IT consultants or offering hands-on IT support when needed.
BIM coordination responsibilities:
- promotes the use of BIM and best practice at all times
- ensures compliance with project BIM execution plans
- ensures compliance with SNHA’s BIM standards throughout projects
- checks models for consistency
- makes proposals for any model adjustments, discusses and consults with the relevant members of the team
- monitors the implementation of possible adjustments in models
- uses advanced tools such as Navisworks/BIM360 for project collaboration across multiple disciplines in a BIM environment
- coaches and guides involved employees with the implementation and application of BIM
- guides project teams through the BIM process and provides assistance to the wider practice when required
- interacts with our teams and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery
- combines the federated model, merging various disciplines involved in the construction process, using certain protocols, programs, and structures
IT tech responsibilities:
- coordinate setup and Image new desktop and laptops during initial deployment, maintenance and end-of-life replacements by external consultant staff
- assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of company hardware and software when needed
- offer occasional operations and systems support to personnel
- troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person
Skill sets:
- fluent in Autodesk Revit
- understanding of Revit family creation
- advanced understanding of Revit troubleshooting
- familiar with BIM360 design (doc management and design collaboration)
- ideate add-ins (BIMLink and Explorer) is a plus
- Dynamo skills are a plus
- multi-tasker who can handle a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an emphasis on detail and quality
- experience and background in the architectural or engineering industry is a plus
- effectively communicate and work with every level of employee from general end-users to high-level managers and directors
The position is open to UK-based applicants only, who have prior experience working in the architecture, engineering or construction businesses. The candidate should demonstrate excellent technical capability, plus possess great interpersonal and communication skills
