Seymourpowell is seeking a transport designer to join its product experience team in London.

What we are looking for
We’re on the hunt for exceptional transport designers to join our product experience team. We want that extra something, that spark of brilliance that makes you stand out from the crowd of great designers.
You will have previous professional experience working on large scale transportation design briefs (for example rail or aeronautical projects) as part of a wider team within a design consultancy or in industry.
You can communicate confidently and you know how large scale vehicles and interiors are manufactured and assembled. You have a strong expertise in using 3D CAD to create what you envisage and the ability to bring this to life with stunning visualisations.
Ultimately we’re most interested in your creative thought process, your ability to balance vision with pragmatism and your attitude to getting things done.
Responsibilities
As a transport designer, you will be expected to:
- demonstrate a deep understanding of transport design and innovation
- show great problem solving aptitude
- be able to confidently communicate new ideas to team members and clients
- have great sketching and/or visualisation skills
- be highly competent in a broad range of creative skills and software (including Adobe CS, Keyshot and 3D software
- be an expert 3D CAD designer with a mastery of working in large, complex assemblies (ideally you are a wizard operating Creo/ProE, but this is not essential)
- understand how things work, how they’re made and how they are assembled
- be able to solve challenging technical problems to design and develop large vehicles and interiors that can be manufactured
- be enthusiastic, ambitious and proactive
- become a go-to amongst colleagues and the wider team
