Space Matrix is seeking a head interior designer to join its team in Bangalore, India.

We are seeking a head interior designer (ex-pat) with strength in concept design in Bangalore – We are a top global design firm specialising in workplace design with 15 office locations in Singapore, India, Australia, China, Thailand and the United States.

Specific responsibilities:

• develop designs for corporate interior projects, lead client presentations/pitches in the region
• work closely with the business head and senior designers and project managers for project and studio deliverables
• you will also have the added responsibility of supporting business development efforts and manage and pitches and design presentation
• manage key clients projects working collaboratively with the business development and client solutions teams.
• as part of the design leadership team, ensure the organisation mentor and motivate the design team to ensure performance and design excellence

Key points to succeed:

• proven ability to provide vision and design leadership
• demonstrated track record of successfully leading complex design projects for brands and businesses – especially office spaces
• creative and articulate interior design or interior architecture professional with leadership experience of managing a team
• proficiency in a client-facing role and managing clients and handling pitches and design presentations
• excellent presentation skills with relevant experience of working on corporate interiors/workplace design projects
• strong design sensibility and the technical understanding to develop a project from concept to execution
• a team player with a positive attitude to go the extra mile
• a registered diploma or degree in interior design or architecture
