Paul Cocksedge Studio is seeking an industrial design project manager to join its design practice in London, UK.

The role
A great opportunity has arisen for a highly organised industrial designer with meticulous attention to detail, keen creative eye, with the skills to generate storytelling concepts and experience in delivering projects from inception to completion.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, common-sense and the ability to manage a varied workload in a multi-disciplinary creative design studio.
A solid background in industrial design and product engineering with in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes is essential. The candidate should be efficient with their time and be prepared to join an extremely fast-paced and demanding environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
ability to render photorealistic images: from small scale object to large scale, ie. architectural building, exterior and interiors
leading and overseeing projects independently, from start of project through to manufacturing and installation
to effectively problem solve, prioritise and follow through on projects
create costing documents and timelines
work closely with suppliers to negotiate and agree prices
work closely with the creative director to advise on how projects can be executed in terms of materiality and techniques
continuously update managing director and creative director on all budget and timeline related issues
source materials, products and props for projects
coordinate site visits and produce production reports
oversee installations on site
act as the main point of communication for clients, suppliers and collaborators
The candidate must have:
an education in the design field, industrial design with a manufacturing and material awareness
the successful candidate will be an expert and fast in 3D CAD visualisations, with exceptional visualisations, experienced in producing geometric drawings and photorealistic renderings
a broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques
a passion for engineering and mathematics
experience in delivering projects in the art and design industry at a range of scales and across multiple disciplines
experience in handling accounts and dealing directly with clients
prior project management related experience is preferable
excellent organisational skills
fantastic written and verbal communication skills
proficient numeracy skills
able to use own initiative and make efficient use of time
understanding of manufacturing processes, from prototype to mass marketing
Preferred computer skills:
high proficiency in 3ds Max or Rhino
knowledge of SolidWorks desirable
high proficiency Adobe Suite
high proficiency Excel and Word
