Laplace is seeking a project interior architect/project architect to join its team in Paris.
Laplace is seeking a talented, motivated and ambitious project interior architect/project architect with at least eight years of professional experience to join its Paris office and contribute to high-end residential architectural and interior projects.
This role requires a strong design sensibility together with the ability to take ownership of project delivery, coordinate teams and consultants under the supervision of the project manager, and maintain a high level of quality throughout each stage of a project.
Profile:
- takes a leading role in project delivery from concept through design development and construction, maintaining focus on design quality, coordination, deadlines and follow-through
- coordinates internal project teams and supports the project manager in coordinating external consultants, contractors and specialist trades, ensuring information is clear, current and aligned across disciplines
- plans and prioritizes project workloads, monitors progress against key milestones and anticipates issues requiring action or escalation
- oversees and contributes to the production of construction details, architectural plans, schedules, specifications and other documentation issued to consultants, contractors and trades
- manages project changes and design decisions effectively, keeping the project manager informed and ensuring appropriate follow-up
- develops, challenges and clearly communicates strong architectural concepts, guiding their translation into coherent and well-resolved built solutions
- combines strong technical judgment with a refined approach to architecture and interior architecture, including detailing, interior fit-outs and bespoke furniture
- brings proven experience on high-end residential projects and a strong appreciation of contemporary art, design and materiality
- demonstrates a distinctive design perspective, creativity and innovation while contributing constructively to a collaborative team environment
- advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Enscape is required
- confident using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office for design development, project coordination and high-quality presentations
- highly organized, proactive and dependable, with strong presentation skills and the ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and work independently
Employment requirements:
- eight years minimum of relevant professional experience
- holds an EU passport
- based in Paris or able to relocate at short notice
- fluent English is mandatory, with proficiency in French
- Spanish proficiency is an advantage but not essential
- previous experience in UK would be an advantage
