Surface-id is looking for an enthusiastic and creative interior designer to join its studio in Glasgow, Scotland.
We are looking for a talented all-around designer who can develop and manage design projects from concept to completion and a proven ability to work independently using their own initiative, or as part of a highly-creative team.
The job role would include working on a variety of hospitality/leisure projects, taking a key role in implementing ideas, technical drawings and handle costings, quotes, schedules and presentations.
The candidate needs to have the ability to liaise with a design/project team and possess excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities/abilities:
- strong design skills and an eye for detail
- working on projects from concept to completion, capable of working to a tight programme, under pressure
- produce technical drawings understand client’s brief and create concept presentations, source and order FF&E, produce project schedules and costings
- a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in commercial interior design
- diverse, creative portfolio showing all stages of interior design
- strong technical skills – AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp
- excellent spoken and written English
- salary depending on experience
