Part-II architectural assistants
There is an opportunity for Part-II architectural assistants to join PDP London in London.
We have a number of roles available for Part-II architectural assistants with experience of working on complex schemes, to work with project architects on a variety of residential, hotel and mixed-use schemes.
The role:
- involvement in initial feasibility and sketch designs
- producing, coordinating and checking specifications, drawings and other documents for their project/s in conjunction with their team leader
- developing schemes for planning and other approvals
- developing scheme designs to detailed design and on to production information stages
- producing information including drawings, schedules and assistance with specification writing
- materials and product sourcing and selection
- developing the coordinated design with the input of other consultants, specialists and contractors
- site inspections and quality control including dealing with contractors’ queries
Technical skills:
- drawing and presentation skills
- competency in Revit is essential
- ability to produce coherent and well resolved architectural designs
- understanding of building technologies and environmental design and ability to employ structural theories, construction techniques and processes
- knowledge of with technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health and safety requirements
- knowledge of how a small business operates and the factors involved in the management of an architectural project
- understand the professional duty of care arising from the relationships between client and architects, employer and employee
- ability to assist in contract administration

- employ a suitable level of professionalism
