CLArchitects is currently looking to hire an architect/experienced Part 2 assistant to join its growing team in Kent, UK.
CLArchitects is a RIBA chartered practice with a portfolio of current work consisting of large scale educational projects, as well as design-led new-build houses and developer-led multi-unit residential projects across the south-east.
Job profile
The role will involve designing and delivering new and current projects through all work stages, and completing full Stage 4 information including written schedules of work and specifications. It is crucial that the applicant is skilled to do this, has examples of equivalent work of their authorship, and has a good understanding of current Building Regulations and technical standards.
As a small studio, it is critical that the applicant is a team player and an exceptional communicator, capable of collaborating across the practice with the team.
Key responsibilities and competencies:
- At least three years experience post Part 2 or at least two years experience post Part 3
- experience of technical design in the UK
- experience in liaising with clients and consultants
- good understanding of Building Regulations and technical standards
- ability to work directly with contractors and suppliers
- ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative
- proficiency in AutoCAD
- working experience of SketchUp and Photoshop
- excellent spoken and written English
