Experienced Part 2 architectural assistant/newly-qualified architect

Barr Gazetas is seeking an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant/newly-qualified architect to join its team in London.
Barr Gazetas are a friendly team of architects, interior designers, master planners and studio staff based in the West End (and at home!) Our award-winning projects cover a broad range of sectors: workplace, fit-out, residential, public realm and mixed-use.
We are looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or a newly-qualified architect for a six-month contract with a view to becoming a permanent member of our team. You will initially be working on a large-scale residential project in a team of five other Architects and assistants.
You will demonstrate the following essential skills:
- outstanding ability in AutoCAD
- excellent technical detailing skills, along with a conscientious and sensitive approach to design
- knowledge in the residential sectors
- an enjoyment of working in a small team, being proactive and able to demonstrate initiative both as part of the team and independently
- excellent organisation and communication skills
- experience of all RIBA Stages, but extensive experience in RIBA Stages 2-4
Other requirements:
- AutoCAD proficiency is essential
- Revit proficiency preferred but not essential
- experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino is desirable
- you must be legally able to work in the UK as we cannot sponsor visas at this time
The role will create opportunities for career growth. All new staff are assigned a mentor and we encourage everyone to take on extra training as they feel necessary. You will be encouraged and supported to grow in our practice as we continue to expand.
Salary is dependent upon experience.
