Hobson’s Choice is seeking a kitchen and bathroom designer to join its showroom team in Swindon, UK.
Do you have three years or more of kitchen and bathroom design experience? Would you like to progress your career in an independent company focused on delivering exceptional projects at the high-end of the market? If so, our exciting kitchen and bathroom designer role could be the right position for you.
As a kitchen and bathroom designer, you will be skilled, ambitious, focussed and motivated. Joining us with at least three years of experience, you will be keen to further your career in the high-end market. You will be able to explore and understand varying client needs and translate them into project winning designs.
You will be passionate about design and genuinely interested in enhancing our client’s lives through considered space planning, material choices and careful product selection. You will have a good understanding and experience of installation project management and the planning and preparation required to deliver a successful project.
The role:
- liaise directly with clients to arrange consultations and define project briefs
- inspire, excite and guide our clients throughout their design journey – from design to installation
- be able to create and present design schemes that explore and answer the client’s expectations
- specify and accurately order products
- manage the installation phase of a project, booking suppliers, contractors and installers
- prepare installation schedules and technical documentation for the fitting team
- manage multiple projects simultaneously
- take an active role, listening and speaking, during team discussions
- provide open and professional communication with clients and team-mates
- assist in the day to day running and presentation of your showroom
- work with and support colleagues across the business

The requirements:
- three years’ experience in a kitchen and/or bathroom design and sales role
- Software – MS Office/CAD/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
The offer:
- salary from £26,000 up to £34,000 (based on experience and competency)
- hours – 08:30-5:30pm Mon-Fri/10-5pm Sat (40 hours, five-day week)
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
