Undercover Architecture is seeking a studio manager to join its team in London.

The studio manager at Undercover Architecture is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice.  This is a central role that combines day-to-day management of the core operational functions of the business.  It is a varied role that would suit a proactive, highly organised individual with excellent administrative and communication skills and good attention to detail to manage the studio based in London, and the three related companies based in the UK, France and Australia.

Typical responsibilities:

  • general studio management – ensuring the smooth running of the office and undertaking the relevant admin
  • project management – manage project resourcing, ensuring projects are scheduled and staffed to deliver excellence
  • finance management – manage the forecasting, liaising with accountants, tracking financial performance
  • HR administration – recruitment and line management

Job requirements:

  • good planning, organisational and time management skills – multitasking and working within tight deadlines
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills – articulate and diplomatic manner
  • a design sensibility and interest in architecture (experience of working in architectural practice advantageous)
  • excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word and good knowledge of InDesign
  • experience leading, managing, and mentoring multiple project teams, including the ability to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirements
  • French-speaking would be highly beneficial

Salary dependent on experience.

20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata and office closed between Christmas and New Year.
