Plan A Consultants is seeking a marketing and business development manager to join its team in London.
About Plan A
Plan A is a specialist design management consultancy based in London. We provide design management services to support and guide many of the world’s best architects and designers through the design stages of a project. These include BIG, Zaha Hadid Architects, Snøhetta, and Adjaye Associates.
Our company is built around an ethos of forming close working relationships and having a mutual understanding of how design happens. We are proud to be known as the best in our field and we are looking for a Marketing / BD Manager to support our team in creating and developing new opportunities as well as nurturing our existing network.
With a team of under 30 people, we actively encourage our team members to be directly involved in shaping the business and its culture. This new role for the consultancy would suit a flexible working arrangement and will include the following:
Key responsibilities:
- develop and lead our communication strategy
- perform a pivotal role in expanding our network within the industry
- plan and implement strategic communications that raise the profile of the consultancy
- create and support opportunities for new business
- secure relevant speaking engagements for the consultancy
- lead the preparation of bid documentation
- prepare high quality written and graphical content for bids
- prepare high quality written and graphical content to be published in the media/social media
- develop media and industry relations and monitor strategic industry news
- maintain a database of current and upcoming competitions/opportunities
- maintain a database of competition/bid submissions
- perform regular updates to website and social media
- play a key role in ensuring a high level of graphical consistency across all outputs from the consultancy
A successful candidate should be:
- proven track record of producing high quality written and graphical content
- creative and innovative approach to the role
- experience working for an AJ100 practice desirable
- extensive and proven network within the industry
- detailed knowledge of the industry
- ability to organise workloads and deliver to tight deadlines
- determined, proactive, hands-on and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- high proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office 365
- fluency in written and spoken English
