Mid-weight interior designer

We are looking for a mid-weight, well-rounded, interior designer with five years’ experience in luxury residential or hospitality design. The ideal candidate will be extremely organised, passionate about design, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- working creatively across all design stages from conceptual design through to technical detailing and approval of supplier shop drawings
- developing and producing detailed conceptual design presentations to support the senior design team and creative director
- preparing concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final design presentations using a variety of digital and traditional media, particularly Adobe InDesign
- aroducing technical drawings and tender packages in AutoCAD
- developing detailed designs including the selection of materials and finishes
- managing the selection, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement of FF&E
- building and growing existing client and supplier relationships
- liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and the on-site team
- actively seeking and sharing inspiration and references from a wide range of sources outside of the business, to support creative design solutions
Required skills:
- excellent design skills and ability to convey design ideas
- a meticulous eye for detail and a good understanding of the technical side of interior design is preferred
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written with a confident manner, client-facing experience is preferred
- strong team player and ability to perform many tasks across the design process from concept development through to design management, procurement, and overseeing on-site installations
- great project management skills – the ability to manage multiple tasks across various projects
- self-motivated with the ability to work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
- software skills: Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Sketchup
- experience of the following would also be an advantage: 3DS Max, Vray, Corona
Required experience:
- a minimum of five years’ experience in the role of an interior designer or interior architect, with extensive creative competence working on luxury high-end residential, marine, or hospitality schemes
