Part 2/3 or CAD technologist/technician

MCAPS GLOBAL is looking for an intermediate-senior architect/ assistant, technologist or technician to join its office in Essex, UK, near Emerson Park. Full-time, part-time and freelancers are welcomed to apply with an immediate start but you must state your preference. You will be required to work in the office near Emerson Park Station.
Our projects are currently based in and around London. They range from interior design and internal renovations to larger extensions and commercial refurbishments. We take projects from the concept design to delivery; from our own measured site survey through design to planning permissions and building control approvals. We also manage many of our projects at the construction stage.
We are looking for an experienced architect/assistant or technologist, who will be instrumental in delivering the design by bringing his/her detailing skills and producing high quality tender packages. We are looking for proactive candidates, who are passionate about working with us, to deliver highly detailed spaces. The role will also involve working across all RIBA Stages 0-6, from measured surveys, design development, planning drawings, building regulations and tender. The suitable candidate needs to have a minimum of five years of experience, two years in the residential sector in the UK.
Required education, skills & duties of the experienced candidate:
- excellent detailing skills to prepare working drawings, specification writing and construction documents
- excellent understanding of structures and structural design to coordinate with the structural engineer
- excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and current UK building standards
- proficiency in preparing site reports and updating construction packages as per site discussions
- good understanding of tender processes, construction costs and tender evaluations will be advantageous
- good in spoken English, with good verbal and written communications skills, to coordinate with the clients, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
- submit and manage building regulations applications to approval
- relevant academic qualification
- excellent AutoCAD skills
- skills to resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- understanding of project programs and deadlines
- ability to work on multiple projects, excellent timekeeping skills
- must be able to work independently and collaboratively
