PDP London is seeking an architect to join its team in London.

We are looking for a talented architect to work on an exciting listed building in the heart of Victoria, London.

The ideal candidate will be confident with the construction stage of work and comfortable taking responsibility for delivering packages of work: this includes working as part of a team, dealing with the contractor, client, and managing team members and consultant/construction teams.

This is a fabulous opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, overseeing the completion of an outstanding large prime project on site in central London.

In this role at PDP London you will be expected to do the following:

  • responsible for the day-to-day running of substantial works packages for a major project within the parameters agreed by their associate/partner
  • assist in managing the project team’s deliverables under the guidance of the team leader, and identifies resourcing needs
  • uses effective day-to-day management and guidance to coordinate the project team and the consultant teams
  • assist in managing and motivating the project team effectively to ensure project delivery on time, within budget and to the required quality and brief
  • communicating with their associate on job progress and studio resourcing issues (including holiday cover)
  • contribute to practice wide initiatives, which further the delivery of the business plan

You must be able to demonstrate that you have:

  • strong technical skills, including use of Revit
  • experience of successfully overseeing technical design and construction works on-site
  • experience of delivering high end residential projects is an advantage
  • ability to develop drawing/information packages to a high level of detail and accuracy
  • understanding of contract administration
  • strong knowledge of codes, standards, and industry expectations
  • good communication and teamwork skills, including report preparation
  • experience of liaising with contractor, sub-contractors, consultant teams and coordinating construction information
  • the ability to communicate successfully with all stakeholders in the project – client, project manager, contractors, external consultants, and colleagues
  • experience of reviewing technical submittals and problem solving site matters as they arise
