Ian Abrams Architect is looking for an architectural assistant/technician to join its team in Essex, UK.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- HNC or HND or BSc(Hons) architecture/architectural technology degree
- minimum of two years experience in a residentially-focused practice, either post-qualification or during placements at university/college
- strong AutoCAD/ArchiCAD ability
- base knowledge of building regulations
- ability to produce or assist in the production of planning, building regulations and tender drawings, overseen by senior colleagues
- knowledge of listed buildings
The salary is negotiable on experience, and accompanies five weeks holiday per year plus bank holidays and flexible working hours. The opportunity for some home working will be available in the future, if required for the right candidate.
This small, sociable and friendly practice focuses on residential projects, from extensions and alterations to high-end large individual houses designed in collaboration with private clients, and speculative residential developments up to 30 units. We have a strong presence within the conservation sector, with projects in conservation areas and works to heritage assets (grade 1/ 2* buildings).
