Blue Moon Hotels Procurement is seeking a procurement manager to join its team in London.

Temporary contract: 16 months from September 2021 – December 22

Blue Moon Hotels Procurement is looking for a procurement manager to join its busy London team based in Farringdon.

Responsibilities:

  • develop strong client relationships to determine their project and service needs
  • responsible for FF&E and OS&E project budget and programme delivery
  • manage the overall procurement strategy and organisation
  • perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification checks, negotiating supplier agreements and tender coordination
  • prepare and issue purchase orders for client, and submit to supply chain once approved
  • receive and distribute interior design line drawings, finish samples and other items necessary for production of both standard and custom-made items
  • prepare and issue project reporting which show any variance to budget, shipping dates and cash flow forecast
  • report on all potential opportunities of value engineering, product suitability and lead time mitigating any risk
  • responsible for project FF&E book-keeping, including funding request remit, supplier payments and day-to-day bank account management
  • coordinate with client, project manager, main contractor and fit-out teams to schedule FF&E and OS&E deliveries and installation
  • responsible for project closeout documentation, verify that all invoices have been processed & any refund claims collected
  • delegate tasks and supervise the work of procurement officers
  • identify development opportunities and undertake training where necessary
  • nurture relationships across the industry to improve business
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of FF&E and OS&E trends

Requirements:

  • experience as a procurement assistance or junior buyer
  • degree qualified in the field of interior, product or architectural design
  • understanding of RIBA design stages, and interior design milestones
  • strong data and financial analysis
  • superior organisation skills, high attention to detail
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • computer literate, especially with Excel
  • proactive and helpful attitude
  • passionate and curious about hotel design and hotel design trends
