Location: Chiswick, West London
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm
Salary: £45,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)

Zulufish is a fast-paced award-winning architecture and interior Design-Build studio (D&B), specialising in high-end residential projects across Prime Central and West London.

We are looking for an ambitious and talented project architect to join our growing architecture team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and delivering beautifully considered homes of the highest quality. The successful candidate will gain invaluable experience working closely with our interior designers, construction team, quantity surveyors and joinery specialists throughout every stage of the design and construction process.

The role
Reporting to the head of architecture, you will take responsibility for delivering residential projects and private homes across all RIBA work stages.
You will be managing projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest design and technical standards.
Key responsibilities:
- lead high-end residential projects across all RIBA stages
- manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through to completion
- produce high-quality planning, technical and construction drawing packages along office standards
- coordinate consultants including structural engineers, M&E consultants, planning consultants and specialist suppliers
- work collaboratively with the interior design, construction and joinery teams
- attend, chair and lead client, consultant and site meetings
- carry out regular site inspections and resolve technical and construction issues
- review drawings and project information to ensure accuracy, coordination and buildability
- monitor project programmes, budgets and deliverables
- mentor and support junior architectural team members, when required
- maintain exceptional design, technical and presentation standards throughout every project
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- ARB registered architect
- minimum five years’ UK residential project experience as project architect
- proven experience leading small to medium residential projects
- strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
- experience delivering projects across all RIBA work stages
- excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
- outstanding AutoCAD skills (essential)
- proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite desirable
- excellent written and spoken English
- strong organisational, communication and presentation skills
- confidence leading client meetings and coordinating consultant teams
Desirable skills and experience:
- experience with HRB’s and BSR
- experience with Grade I and II Listed Buildings and Listed building Consent
- experience with LTAs and dealing with Building management
