About the role
As part of the architectural team, the urban designer focuses on the development of masterplans for medium- and large-scale projects across the UK and internationally. It’s an expansive remit, working across conceptual/strategic thinking and city-scale/regional masterplanning through to the design of buildings and public spaces, and the production of detailed design guidelines.
About you:
- you hold a degree in either architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture and an MA in urban design (or equivalent)
- with a minimum of five years’ professional experience you will have experience in leading projects
- you are passionate about design and thrive in an environment where you can demonstrate initiative, creativity, self-sufficiency and responsibility
- you are confident in presenting to, coordinating and liaising with clients and consultants
- you have excellent software skills, and are highly proficient in at least four of the following – Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, GIS software, CityEngine
- you’re a strong communicator and all-round team player who’s keen to collaborate and achieve as part of a larger team
