DBI Projects is looking for a project administrator to join its team in New York.
DBI Projects is seeking to immediately bring on a new project administrator to take on a dynamic role providing office and project support services to a team of project managers in the real estate/construction industry. This is an entry-level role on track towards a career in project management and is ideal for a candidate seeking greater exposure to the construction industry. While the project administrator will have general reception and administrative duties, a dedicated portion of time will be spent assisting teams with project management-related tasks including the production of deliverables, the management of spreadsheets, meeting attendance and note taking, etc. This role is expected to grow and evolve as the project administrator demonstrates personability, eagerness, and an overall ability to contribute to the company.
Role overview
Reporting to senior management, the project administrator’s primary responsibilities are:
- covering general reception duties such as screening and routing phone calls, attending to visitors, preparing and coordinating shipments and deliveries, distributing mail, etc.
- providing executive support to Senior Management as required
- coordinating team events and other in-house activities, as well as company outings
- acting as the office-wide point person
- supporting project teams in the production of reports, spreadsheets, and other deliverables
- produce both internal and external presentations
Required experience:
Prospective applicants should have no more than one to two years’ office experience, with superb document processing skills (Micosoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Bluebeam). The candidate should have an interest in project management and the real estate/construction field. Bonus points if the candidate has graphic design expertise and experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
The successful candidate will be extremely organized, efficient, and self-motivated, possessing strong written, and verbal communication skills, and have experience handling confidential and sensitive information. Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work are a must.
