Brand manager/designer
at Lumos
Lumos is seeking a brand manager/designer to join its team remotely.
You are perfect for us if you are:
- an experienced brand manager, art director, or designer who has had success with a consumer facing brand, preferably in the west
- you are highly organised, able to work independently with a lot of responsibility and work well with a team
- you are looking for an opportunity to be an influential part of a small team and build an exciting new consumer brand from the ground up
Position overview
The mission of the brand manager/designer is to grow and level up the Lumos brand by…
Developing and maintaining a clear set of brand and visual identity guidelines:
- guidelines that bring our positioning, messaging, and brand idea to life
- guidelines that can be used to inform all customer facing assets from website to videos, photographs, emails, social media posts and packaging
Executing those guidelines across all our customer facing assets to be in-line and consistent with those guidelines:
- support the development and editing of product and lifestyle photography
- update website, Amazon and social media channels to be in-line with brand guidelines
- serve as a ‘visual gatekeeper’ for all new visual outputs (ie. videos, photographs, website pages, Amazon pages, emails, social media posts and packaging)
Implementing our visual identity through design work and developing fresh new ways to push the brand:
- developing creative directions for visual assets to be used in our sales channels
- developing creative directions for product related assets that help to elevate them further
Note that given the very early stage of the company that we are in, a high degree of adaptability is expected and required for this role. We are constantly learning new things and adapting our strategy and activities accordingly. Indeed, we see this as one of our key competitive advantages over the incumbents as it will allow us to try many more things and move much quicker than our competitors.

Key skills we’re looking for:
- design skills with an excellent visual aesthetic and taste – you know how to make something look good and can articulate exactly why it looks good
- skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite
- creative and love coming up with ideas
- excellent written English – you’re able to write in a clear, creative, and compelling way
- you’re a highly detailed-oriented individual who doesn’t miss a thing, no matter how small
Nice to have:
- experienced being a bike commuter in an American or European city at some point in their life. Passion for bikes is a huge plus
- detail oriented and organised. You’re a pro at managing and prioritising the workload for yourself and your team
- interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and building things from the ground up
