Structure Workshop is looking for a CAD technician to join its London team.
Structure Workshop is an engineering design studio based in central London. The practice is responsible for a diverse portfolio of contemporary structures including buildings, pavilions and large-scale artworks. Within the current team of 12 there is a commitment to collaboration and engagement and an enthusiasm for beautiful architecture and design. This has resulted in a series of carefully detailed and widely acclaimed projects, both permanent and temporary across the United Kingdom and internationally.
We are looking for a CAD technician to join the team in summer 2018 and to manage and coordinate the drawing output of the design studio. This is a permanent position on a competitive salary.
Requirements:
- a working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD (Vectorworks and/or Revit)
- an interest in art and architecture is essential
- enthusiastic, technically proficient and able to communicate effectively
- an ability to work independently
Core duties:
- work with design engineers and project teams and produce arrangement and detail engineering CAD drawings
- manage full drawing and document packages in line with the practice quality manual
- coordinate the ongoing introduction of BIM modelling, drawings and standards to the practice
- manage and develop the existing practice draughting manual
