Architect/architectural assistant
at Design Code Architects
Design Code Architects is looking for architects and architectural assistants to join its growing team in London.
The practice has an open, fast-paced, friendly, and multicultural environment.
We are looking for creative and talented architects and architectural assistants to work with our team on a variety of projects including residential and commercial new build developments, house extensions, conversions, and refurbishment projects.
We are looking for proactive candidates, who are passionate about Architecture and have a willingness to learn, improve and grow within the company.
The roles will require the ability to work across RIBA Stages 0-6, from briefing to the project completion. The desired candidates need to have a minimum of two years’ of experience in the UK.
Duties and responsibilities:
- consult with clients to determine their requirements
- capability to manage detail-oriented clients
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- lead and develop projects from early concept through design and technical development
- prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- interest and commitment in developing the practice outlook and culture as we grow
Requirements:
- proficiency in spoken and written English, with demonstrable verbal and written communications skills
- Part 3 architects must be registered with ARB (RIBA is most desirable)
- excellent AutoCAD skills, proficiency in SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office
- excellent design, detailing, and presentation skills
- understanding of project programs and deadlines
- strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and all RIBA work stages
- strong knowledge of London Planning Policies
- strong technical expertise and knowledge of current construction methods
- ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, excellent timekeeping skills
- experience coordinating with subcontractors
- able to work independently and collaboratively
