Perfect Wellness Group is hiring a project manager to join its team in New York.

The project manager will provide a critical range of management support to the planning, organizing, problem solving and execution of all our projects. This role is relevant from the beginning through the end, ensuring that projects are completed within time, budget and code and quality parameters. The project manager position is one of direct outward facing contact with all relevant project stakeholders.

Primary responsibilities:

  • the PM role establishes primary engagement with the project as the purchase order is made and contract negotiation is underway. The initial key responsibility is in establishing project cost estimates, reviewing contract terms, and helping to prepare all project documents into project delivery plans
  • in preparation for mobilizing the construction activities, the PM works closely with the construction super and project team to build the Site initiation checklist. All documents, safety/ security/ logistics plans are prepared. Support is provided to the execution efforts by the super. The critical path and especially long lead time components are prioritized for action
  • provide support and input to the project team in establishing and maintaining the project schedule
  • as construction activity proceeds the PM is responsible for keeping the project on track both for physical building and cash flow. Critical problems that arise, especially as regards contractor, vendor, client issues get priority attention by the PM for resolution. Adjustments in the schedule, cost impacts etc. are prepared, strategy devised and discussed with upper management and the client
  • work with the logistics department to organize, manage and coordinate the delivery of materials, spare parts and after-sales service needs
  • preparation of reports outlining progress on the project, including but not limited to: pre-installation reviews, installation reports, issues faced (both open and closed), budget status and change event reporting
  • as the project comes to an end the PM works closely with the super to develop a closure punch list that includes all open items, including sub-contract resolution, and all cash related and system documentation. A closure package is prepared for the client that documents all aspects for the project and provides the basis of closeout. This includes, but is not limited to: project handbooks, operation manuals, and a client record of sign off document.
  • a post project review is prepared and discussed by the project team for lessons learned, for further implementation into future projects

Required Skills, education and experience:

  • construction project management experience with projects of relevant scale and complexity; three to five-plus years’ of relevant project experiences required
  • safety certificate (OSHA 30) preferred
  • knowledge of and management level experience in the construction project sector
  • demonstrated ability to lead a construction process focused team of professionals
  • demonstrated ability to interpret and deliver quality in work effort and deliverables
  • demonstrated ability to effectively work across a multi-disciplined team
  • demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • knowledge of essential software: (ProCore, MS Project, MS Office, BlueBeam, AutoCAD)
  • demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and work from the field
  • ability to manage subcontractors and lead coordination with client PM’s/ stakeholders
  • demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues at a time
  • demonstrated ability in interpreting contractual terms and obligations and assuring that Prefect Wellness Group is both protected and meets its obligations, and that any and all project issues and changes that effect project parameters are visibly outlined and clearly conveyed.
