Philip Hughes Associates is looking for a recently qualified conservation architect/surveyor and Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Somerset, UK.
Applicants will need excellent CAD skills and demonstrate a genuine interest in conservation work.
PHA are Historic Buildings Conservation Consultants, based in Somerset (working throughout the South-West) and employ both architects and surveyors. Work undertaken by the practice predominantly involves the analysis, repair, sensitive adaptation and improvement of historic buildings. Projects regularly involve elements of new design – these are carefully managed to respect the historic setting and fabric of the existing building. The practice has a particular interest in sustainability, reuse and working with traditional materials to minimise environmental impact.
