Senior designer

Child Graddon Lewis is looking for a talented senior designer to join the successful retail team at management level in London.
You will lead multiple clients and manage team resources, invoicing, project profitability and client relationships.
Taking responsibility for quality of information issued, meeting client expectations and statutory compliance and guide junior staff in preparing drawings, technical advice, building regulations and planning consent processes. Experience working from concept development, through design stage and technical approvals (e.g. landlord’s consent processes); knowledge of working in train stations and airports required. Ability to chair meetings, record actions and organise wider consultant and contractor teams managing client/contractor expectations and delivering information to achieve key dates.
Requirements:
- Revit skills essential
- technically proficient of building regulations and construction knowledge as necessary for retail fit-out work
- the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines is essential
- work will be with a variety of high street brand name clients with roll-out of new and refurbished stores
- good communication and interpersonal skills are a paramount as these are key to maintaining a long-term client relationship
- commercial awareness is necessary: preparing, issuing and updating fee proposals and resource management to support the directors is part of the role
- willing to travel for meetings, site inspections, very rarely being away overnight
