Senior project architect

Stephen Taylor Architects is recruiting a senior project architect to join its growing studio.
We are an award-winning practice, currently working on a number of urban regeneration projects, including housing at various scales for local authorities across London and the south east. This role is office-based, working in our dynamic east London studio with a friendly team.
Skills and experience
Candidates should have a minimum of five years’ experience post RIBA Part 3 qualification, including strong technical experience at RIBA Stages 4-6 and contract administration in the UK. Excellent design skills, construction knowledge and job running abilities are essential.
As well as an understanding of, and empathy with, Stephen Taylor Architects’ design approach, the successful candidate will have:
- self-direction, initiative and confident client facing skills
- excellent spoken and written English
- excellent design and presentation skills
- ability to communicate ideas through hand sketches and drawings
- proficiency in Vectorworks and/or Revit, as well as Adobe Creative Suite
- strong technical focus and ability to resolve complex design issues
- experience delivering projects at BIM Level 2
- experience acting as lead designer and contract administrator across RIBA Stages 0-6, including on large-scale residential projects
The successful candidate may be required to work alongside a project leader on some projects, whilst also leading their own projects; they should therefore be comfortable working both independently and in a team.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. We envisage this being a full time role, but also welcome applications from experienced candidates who would like to work on a part time basis.
